Professional Experience

Brian Rowbotham was previously the managing partner of the Global Private Client Services Group with Crowe LLP in San Francisco where he advised in the United States and foreign based companies in a range of areas. Prior to Crowe, he was the managing partner for the firm he founded, Rowbotham International for 26 years. Previously he worked with Price Waterhouse (PWC) in London and San Francisco in their international tax departments.

Tax Planning, Representation

Brian Rowbotham has extensive experience with assisting C Level executives with stock and compensation planning, and currently advises several high-net worth multi-national families with businesses and investments in the U.S. He has a significant success record with minimizing large federal and state tax assessments, and abating penalties in the foreign disclosure area. Since 2018 he has consulted continuously on both individual and corporate transactions in the crypto arena. In more complex situations, he has brought in legal counsel and other specialists to represent the client in the targeted areas where specialized expertise is needed.

Brian Rowbotham has written and spoken extensively on international tax planning for numerous journals and professional organizations in U.S., Europe and Asia. He has been a featured speaker at the annual international tax conference hosted by the California CPA Society.
